Peaceful trade around the world

Business relationships ensure a process of cultural exchange between regions, promoting mutual understanding between cultures. Successful business relationships don't leave any room for conflict - in fact they depend on peaceful cooperation. This is the philosophy behind the motto of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA): "Peace and stability through trade."

Founded in the USA in 1970, the WTCA expanded from its original headquarters in New York to become an international trade organization that spans the entire world. Today it has 284 centers in 77 countries. The darkest hour in the history of the WTCA was the September 11 terrorist attack on the New York World Trade Center's famous "Twin Towers". Following the attack, the WTCA head office was moved to 42nd Street in Manhattan.

The aim of the WTCA is to promote international cooperation on an economic and cultural level, regardless of political borders or social and cultural differences.

The WTCA's activities are aimed first and foremost at small and medium-sized enterprises, with the intention of helping them gain entry to the global market. Each WTC is dedicated to pursuing this goal, although the services offered by individual WTCs may vary considerably according to local conditions.

As a member of the WTCA, the WTC Zurich is committed to meeting the high quality standards set by this international trade organization.
