Dynamic facade, but inner tranquillity

The arched entrance to the WTC Zurich lends an air of precision and elegance, making the Leutschenbach Street building an unmistakable landmark. The WTC Zurich was designed by Ernst Gisel, one of Switzerland's best-known contemporary architects.

The WTC Zurich has a ground floor and three floors below ground level. In 2001 two additional floors were added to the original five upper floors. The structural design for the building is based on a flexible system incorporating the supporting columns, the exterior walls and the center of the stairwells. The interior of the building follows a clear, uncluttered architectural design that allows the rooms to be adapted and decorated to match the event.

Visitors are welcomed by a spacious entrance hall, flooded with natural light. Quality and attention to detail are conveyed by the carefully selected materials and by works of art that have been discreetly integrated into the overall architectural design. Meeting rooms and conference facilities are grouped around the central World Trade Hall. These can be partitioned individually according to requirements. The modern office spaces on the upper floors are bright and airy and can be flexibly dimensioned to ensure the staff of the companies who lease the offices are highly motivated.
